"I had previously firewalked on a number of occasions and thoroughly enjoyed it each time, but it was whilst searching for another firewalking event to attend that I came across the Instructor Training program offered by UK Firewalk. I reached out via their website, and was very quickly in communication with Scott about an upcoming training program. Coincidently, the UK Firewalking team was hosting a charity firewalk not far from where I live, and so before signing up I decided to go along so I could see first-hand the team at work… and I wasn’t disappointed.
The UK Firewalking team combined utter professionalism with a sense of fun and excitement for all those taking part and watching… and everyone in attendance had an incredible experience. I introduced myself to Scott and the team afterwards, and signed up to their Instructor Training program the following week! The training itself was superb… in the weeks prior, we were told what we would need to bring with us, and when at the training venue (which was also superb) everything was taken care of, from accommodation to food. Scott and Diane provided a thorough training program over 3 and half days, with safety being the principle foundation upon which everything was built. At any time, we were free to ask questions, and I’m so pleased to have been trained by two people who not only have extensive firewalking experience but who also have a genuine love of what they do… and both have so many incredible, funny and often life-affirming stories!
At the end of training program, both Scott and Diane had ensured that every trainee was confident, knowledgable and safe to instruct others in the art of firewalking… and without exception, every one in the training group came away with a comprehensive understanding of the practical methods, protocols and procedures utilised when running a firewalking event, combined with a thorough awareness of the safety issues and inherent risks associated with it. And, what’s more, like myself, they loved every moment of the course. Thank you so much UK Firewalk… Bring on the hot coals!"
